Replace Insides
Here is a simple network which takes strings, converts them to text paths, then replaces the insides of letters (and the dots atop lowercase I and j) with a different shape of your choice.
The attached demo shows the result using 5-point stars and tilted ellipses.
I did this to demonstrate techniques for detecting, separating, and replacing contours within a path. Some unusual fonts with extreme loops or detached K's may occasionally misfire.
