movie export/ syphon support
hi!
The movie export -on osx- has a little bit mount of options - fps, usable codecs like photojpeg or png with transparent background. Ho you have plans to deal with this issues? Cos i really like your soft but if it's not necessary I'd skip exporting png seq than glue together with another soft and export in the type I could use later better.
or
Do you plan to build in the syphon framework? http://syphon.v002.info
cheers

We do support a minimal set of options for movie export, mostly not to confuse new users or people who just want to get a decent movie. Do you require specific options?
NodeBox doesn't use OpenGL yet so Syphon support does not make sense at this time. However, we plan on switching to an OpenGL context in the next few months, making Syphon support viable.

Hi
actually yes I have my "dream" format!
Beside be a vj I also a tester of CoGe which is a vj app. All major vj app recommends .mov Photo jpeg codecs. Except resolume has their own format but have that codecs you have to install their soft or the codec. This codec is also good for post production. The mp4 or mpg codecs has a strange compression, but they are small and good for youtube :]
I'd be happy with openGL and syphon feature!

hi!
my "dream" codecs will be photo jpeg
so for the major vj apps or for post-production purposes its a good choice.
here you can find some more detailed description

I really would love to test -node box stuffs via syphon!

Sorry I didn't find the time yet to look at export formats. Have you used FFMPEG for this? Do you know the correct flags for this one?

but since than we have this nice free new codek called HAP from vdmx developers and it has an alpha chanel version too!
http://vdmx.vidvox.net/blog/hap
and .mov with png codecs is an option but you need to have the god old quicktime player 7pro on 10.9.
