A very obscure bug that no one will ever care about
When generating square waves with the wave function, whenever the X value is set to zero mod period, the function will return the minimum value for the wave...
UNLESS the X value is exactly equal to the period.
If you have a period 100 square wave with Y varying from 12 to 48, X values of ..., -300, -200, -100, 0 and values of 200, 300, 400, ... all return 12. But an X value of 100 will return 48.
This is a rare corner case is a seldom-used function that I don't expect anyone to care about let alone fix. But I note it for the record (the record that no one will ever read).

Hi John,
I think its good to log the issues, especially when someone forks this project in the future. I've been wondering about 64bit support when MacOS Catalina arrives, will this software work in the new OS?

D,
I have the same concern. My understanding is that NodeBox is already 64bit, but there may be other issues. You can never be sure until you upgrade.
Lists of apps incompatible with Catalina are starting to appear; I have not seen NodeBox listed. But I have no evidence it has been tested.
Does anyone out there have the Catalina beta installed? Could you try running NodeBox and see it seems to work OK?
D, you mentioned the possibility of someone forking NodeBox in the future. I agree that it may come to this. Frederik is concerned about the future of NodeBox but at the moment doesn't have any time or energy to devote to it. He is also not aware of any volunteers ready and willing to take over for him.
Forking and maintaining NodeBox 3 for future releases on Mac and Windows is beyond my skill level. But if someone would step forward, someone committed to keeping NodeBox as simple and easy to use as it is now, I would pledge my time to help improve it. I have many ideas about this.
Any volunteers?
John

D,
Did you ever upgrade to Catalina? Can you confirm NodeBox runs OK under Catalina?
I am downloading it now and will soon attempt the upgrade (unless someone quickly tells me not to!)

Just upgraded to Catalina. NodeBox seems to be working fine.
My only issue so far is that an obscure font I was using in one network disappeared.
Will also post this as a separate note so people can find it more easily.
