Clipping masks in PDF export
Nodebox 3.0.35 creates a clipping mask the size of the artwork bounds, for each individual object that is multiplied with a **Grid** or **Copy** node. When exporting something with many individual items, this makes for some pretty heavy pdf files (I tried opening file with a grid of 200 x 200 rectangles and got an "out of memory" warning when trying to remove the masks in Illustrator). Additionally, will usually in any case want to remove those clipping masks and groups manually, when working with Nodebox pdf's in Illustrator.
Is there any way of removing these (seemingly unnecessary) clipping masks and groups? (Using a **Compound** node seems to give more or less the same result as well, even though the file size for some reason is slightly smaller).

Jonatan

Hi Jonatan!
First off, sorry for the late reply.
This is indeed a bug in NodeBox, where we're trying to be too careful with storing clipping masks in case a nested object changes them.
I've just pushed a commit that fixes this. See issue https://github.com/nodebox/nodebox/issues/367 .
Best,
F
