When exporting a movie in NodeBox 3 on Mac the OSX application Activity Monitor says NodeBox uses over 100% of CPU whereas alltogether more than 50% CPU is still inactive.

Do I assume correct that this difference comes from unused processor cores?
If yes: How can I make NodeBox use more cores?

You can't. We have to rewrite the code so that it does.

With regards to movie export, there might be a possibility to rendering the different frames on different cores. However, we have to take care of edge cases.

Optimizing NodeBox to use multiple cores is interesting future work, but currently we don't have the resources to do this.
