Cartan Node Library 3.5
Cartan Node Library 3.5
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Attached is the latest rev of my Cartan Node Library. This file was built using over 433,000 nodes and over 583,000 connections, surely making it the largest Nodebox network on earth!
Version 3.5 includes 168 library nodes. I added 14 new nodes and improved another 14 existing nodes. All nodes are free for use with no restrictions.
To use: with your current project open use File/Open Recent to open node library 3-5.ndbx in another window. Then just copy/paste the desired node from the library into your project. A few of the nodes also require adding a code library module (included).
The top section contains all 168 nodes arranged under 9 categories. The bottom section contains 168 demos. Some demos contain extra bonus nodes. TIP: if you find yourself usually only needing the nodes themselves, make a copy of the library and then delete the lower section of demos and save that as "fast library 3.5"; it will open faster.

- inter_color: Completely revised. http://support.nodebox.net/discussions/show-your-work/832-all-new-i...
- morph_color: Updated to include all new version of inter_color.
- overlaps: Added a "ones" column to the table option; helpful when categorizing the different types of overlap
- place_label: Fixed a minor rounding error that could cause issues in rare situations
- reshape: updated morph_color inside this node; added color space and correct lightness options
- scale_true: Added minimum and maximum stroke. Fixed a bug that would sometimes draw incorrect fill colors
- sub_path: Simpler and 25% faster
- symbol: Added yin yang and Reuleaux triangle. Improved positioning logic to Reuleaux triangle is placed at its true center by default
- true_center: Now works with Reuleaux triangles. Fixed bug which, in rare circumstances, would misidentify a shape as a star.
NOTE: A PDF of the library poster showing all the nodes is included inside the zipped library folder. Feel free to print it out and hang it over your desk!
As always, please reply to this note and let me know that you saw it. This helps me know if anyone is using this library. If you find any issues with any of these nodes, or have suggestions for improvements or new nodes, PLEASE let me know. I hope you all have as much fun using this library as I've had expanding it.
Go forth and create!

Here, just for fun, is a colorful library treemap of the 168 nodes in the Cartan Node Library 3.5.

Hi there John,
Thank you so much for another immense library!
I wonder if it is possible to find a way to embed them in the nodebox ui. Search and browse them through that window would be so amazing, to see Cartan section below the Other ¦) and would be so easy to use, as well. I know, it is near to impossible but, I've just wondered, y'know ¦)
Oh, I tweaked the time.py for split-second, 1/3600 and 1/216000 of a second and decided to turn my obsession to design mixture of analogue and digital clock to a lifelong project. I had couple of 'em somewhere but I only found this: so the tiny thing in the attached files is sort of a thank you gift for you.
Thanks again chief!
Abdu
Ps. I count the nodes after I saw your last post. It was 36 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
