Surround Node
Attached is the demo for a very simple node: surround.
Give surround a circle and it will return a ring of N circles, each the same size, and each tangent to the central circle and to each other. N can be any integer three or greater.
Surround is certainly good and making flower petals, but I suspect it will have many other uses. Many Islamic tile designs are based on circles that are tangent to each other. The centroids and diameters of the outer circles could allow you to size and position varying graphic elements evenly around a central element.
Frankly, this node is really a solution looking for a challenge. I urge anyone who sees some value in this to create something cool with it and share it with the rest of us!
