Alhambra Tiles: Courtyard of the Myrtles
I recently had the privilege of visiting The Alhambra in Grenada, Spain - a Mecca for the mathematically inclined because of its many marvelous tilings. I plan to use NodeBox to deepen my understanding of some of these tilings by recreating them.
The attached image shows a comparison of a photo I took in the Courtyard of Myrtles (top) and my NodeBox recreation (bottom). NodeBox is marvelously well-suited for this kind of thing. Just by eyeballing the photo and making a few educated guesses I was able to build up a reasonable facsimile step by step.
The fairly simple NodeBox network is also attached in the zipped file. Examine it to unlock the secrets of this design.
Comments and questions always welcome.

Attached: an animation showing how the Alhambra tiles were constructed.
Reply if you'd like to see the NodeBox network that made this.
