NOTE: See next comment for a slightly improved version of the ndbx file.

This whimsical orrery animation is made with public domain clipart. It includes 11 distinct motions. The simple network features multiple examples of my new evolve node which will be part of my forthcoming node library.

Enjoy!

    UPDATE

Attached is a slightly revised version of orrery.ndbx. It is functionally identical with my first release, but slightly more efficient: I was able to replace a half dozen nodes inside the UFO with another evolve node.

There are now 6 evolve nodes in this demo:

    • earth rotates
    • earth revolves
    • moon revolves and tumbles
    • rocket follows parabola
    • UFO follows jagged path
    • UFO rotates lights

I'm still getting used to the evolve node but it is already saving a significant amount of time and effort. I think this improved orrery might mike a nice NodeBox tutorial.

NOTE: attachment is just the ndbx file. You will still need the support files from the original post.
