NodeBox Live
I've tried NodeBox Live and it looks really promising and like a future tool of NodeBox. Now I am wondering what is the current state of NB Live, is it ready to use for some dataviz experiments in the classroom?
And is this forum the right place for discussing NB Live?
If yes, I think a separate category for NB Live on the forum homepage would be helpful.
During my NB Live test, some errors are shown in the help section. I guess all example previews can not be shown. Does anyone else have this issue? (Tested in Firefox, Chrome, Safari)

Hi Martin
I also did a few tries with Nodebox Live didn't have
any problems with any tutorial.
I'm using Firefox 127.0.2 here, but I haven't had
any problems with previous versions of Firefox.
But I'm more of a Nodebox 3 user, although Nodebox Live
is more advanced. I might use it more in the future.
Its helpful for using it on a iPad for Example because
its a online Tool.
For now, Nodebox 3 is enough for me.

Martin
Which tutorial did you have problems with?
I could try this tutorial to see if I have problems too.

Hi Gottfried, thanks for your offer to help!
And sorry for my late response.
I get these errors in every help/guide section (in the right panel of Nb Live), whether it is a new project or a tutorial project.
The browser inspector throwes the following error message: ›Failed to launch 'guide:…' because the scheme does not have a registered handler.‹

Hi Martin
I made a video here
https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cZifoQV8Bp7
So you can see how Nodebox Live works for me.
As I wrote before, I don't have any such errors. Some links in the help sections don't seem to work, but that's all.
Unfortunately, I don't know what could cause such an error. Maybe another browser works better?

Martin
I've tried Nodebox Live only for a short time.
But as far as I could see, Nodebox 3 and Nodebox Live
work somewhat similar.
Some nodes may called different in Nodebox Live,
but I don't think it's that big a problem to find the right one.
So I think you could try Nodebox 3 to learn Nodebox.
John from Nodebox Forum attached Nodebox examples
to many of his posts that you can download.
I've learned a lot this way. The knowledge can then
certainly be transferred to Nodebox Live.
So you could also give this way a try.

Hi Martin
I found the same help section that you showed
in your first post. It describes the rectangle node.
Here is a screenshot of what this section looks like for me.

Hi Gottfried,
Thanks for your help.
It looks like the same error is visible in your video and your last screenshot. My guess is that NB-Live tries to show a little canvas preview where the red error message is displayed. So it's pretty clear this is an issue in the NB-Live app.
Maybe we should report it in the Github repository.

Martin
If you can, report it on Github.
I'm not using Nodebox Live at the moment because
the desktop Nodebox 3 is enough for my experiments
and I don't like having to log in first.
Although if you want to work with Nodebox on the iPad
Nodebox Live is a good alternative.
During my attempts, the help errors didn't bother me
it also seemed to me that the help is still incomplete
But other than that, I was able to run every test I did
without any problems and every tutorial on the website
worked without any problems
