How to copy and paste nodes between files?
I know that after using John's fantastic library it's possible to copy and paste nodes from one scene into another, but I've got some nodes in one of my files that I'd like to utilise in another file, but copying and pasting doesn't seem to be working for me. I can copy and paste John's library ones in no problem, but if I try to copy a node network or single node out of my file into the other one it doesn't work (in fact it just pastes the previous test library node I took from John's library, as if my node hasn't copied at all). Do I need to enable something to allow this to happen?

You can use
Command ⌘ instead of
Control ^ on Mac

You should be able to copy paste any node or group of nodes from one file to another. This doesn't just work for my library; it should work anywhere.
Sometimes Nodebox gets into a mildly confused state where it fails to detect keyboard shortcuts. So one thing to try is to actually select "Copy" and "Paste" from the edit menu instead of using command C and V.
If this ever happens to you, one way to fix it is to simply save everything in all open files and then quit Nodebox and restart it.
Please let me know if that solves your problem. If not, let me know whether you are using a Mac or a PC and maybe I can help you get to the bottom of whatever is happening.

Thanks for confirming that it should work.
I'm not sure if I was getting confused or wether the node was pasting but pasting directly on top of another node, so I didn't notice it - anyway I restarted my machine and it's working properly now.
