Hi All,

I followed the first simple tutorial for animating and am super excited by the possibilites nodebox offers. However the quality of the file that I render is absolutely terrible! I can't figure out why this is happening.

I go "File" --> "Export a Movie" --> I choose the destination

When I render the file, it looks terrible, lots of the colors are wrong some weird distortion/compression/XXXX happening.

Any advice would be well appreciated.

Regards,
LJC

    What platform are you on? Which your of compression did you pick in the export dialog?

    Best,

    Hey thanks for looking,

    I am on Windows 7 x64.

    Exporting to MP4 Video. I don't see any more rendering options. The use of 'compression' was mostly to describe/reference the way the rendered video looked...

    So the issue is when I load the rendered mp4 file into VLC media player. See render.jpg, windows_media.jpg is what it looks like in windows media player... The issue seems to be resolved when I convert it to avi/mpeg...

    On a related note about getting the best output, I successfully changed the document properties to 1920 by 1080 which is nice, while using a scale node to bring up my actual image to take up the new space.

    That's weird. video export should take the document properties into account. What version are you using?

    I've attached a small test case, including the rendered output I get (NodeBox 3.0.38, OS X 10.9.2). Could you try rendering that as well and seeing if you get the same output?
