The Nodebox forum was offline for awhile yesterday, but is back now and able to receive new posts. Apologies to those unable to post yesterday.
Frederik is looking into transferring the forum and all content to a more modern service. Stand by for updates. Until then you can continue to post here.

Good to know! Maybe in addition a Discord server could be interesting, for more direct community communication?

This is a pretty interesting idea. I am a Discord user and there's a lot of energy with Discord at the moment. I'm not actually sure, though, why it would provide "more direct community communication".
What specifically do you think Discord would give us that other forum software would not?

By 'more direct' I mean that you can hop on a short call, via the voice/video channel options. To do some troubleshooting or just to discuss ideas and connect. It has direct messaging options and allows for more lively channel communications on a specific topic (:

Sorry for the delay in replying; I was waiting to see if there was any more word from Frederick about moving the forum. But we'll hear from him when he's ready.
You make excellent points. Discord would indeed facilitate things like this.
Another request I've heard is a way to make the "Show Your Work" channel more compelling by actually displaying the work in a gallery the way Pinterest or Instagram does. Discord can display images and animations inside comment threads, which is not as nice as a dedicated gallery, but still better than what we have now.
Regardless of what happens with our forum software it would of course be possible for you or other Nodeboxers to create their own Discord. This could be a complement to the main forum, especially for NodeBoxers with a special interest of some kind.
Feel free to keep talking about this. I would welcome other ideas as well.
